Luke Frame the Secondary Schools Regional Sports Director at Tasman Sport had this to say:

“After last year’s tournament cancellation, Golden Bay High School was back in the driver’s seat, hosting the Tasman Secondary School Senior Ki o Rahi tournament for 2019. Eight teams from six of the regions schools travelled to Takaka to put their claim forward for first place. Sportsmanship and team work were key factors to the days success. Waimea College deservingly secured the trophy, no easy feat with the increasing Tasman competition.”

Congratulations to Waimea College and all the schools that entered the tournament! It’s awesome to know the game is growing right across the country!
